YHA Ngong Ping SG Davis Youth Hostel is situated in a spectacular landscape and surrounded by attractions full of Chinese flair. It is also close to various fascinating hiking trails such as the famous Lantau Trail.
Wisdom Path is 5 minutes' stroll away, while Lantau Island Ngong Ping Bus Terminus can be reached in 8 minutes' walk. Within 10 minutes, you may walk to Po Lin Monastery, Ngong Ping Piazza and Tian Tan Buddha. Hong Kong International Airport is 7 km away, about a 45-minute taxi ride.
Both individual rooms and dormitory beds are provided.
There is a shared kitchen at the property.

Please note that YHA membership is required and on-site application is available at an extra cost. Each single member is entitled to bring a maximum of 3 non-members who are requested to pay the standard rate.
Smoking is strictly prohibited on the hostel premises to make sure hostellers always have fresh air to enjoy. The hostel offers lockers. Hostellers can bring a small lock to keep their personal belongings safe. In order for hostellers to indulge in the pleasures of cooking and enjoy local food, the hostel does not provide catering service.
Upon arrival, guests should check-in in the reception with:
(i) Photo ID – Passport or Hong Kong ID;

To ensure that all guests’ stay is enjoyable, guests bringing along children aged under five must submit a Parent/Guardian consent letter when making reservations YHA Ngong Ping SG Davis Youth Hostel; and are required to stay in a private room with their parents/ guardian.
All hostel rooms only accommodate the designated number of guests, regardless of age. If additional beds are needed, please contact the hostel directly when making the reservation by leaving a request under the 'special requests' box. On-the-spot requests for additional beds might not be entertained.
How to reach the hostel from Hong Kong International Airport.
Before 18:00
- Take bus S1 to Tung Chung Bus Terminus.
- Take bus 23 from Tung Chung Bus Terminus to Ngong Ping Bus Terminal walk towards Po Lin Monastery.
- Take the small path left of the old public toilets of Po Lin Monastery. Follow the signs and walk for 5-10 minutes to the hostel. Please note that the last bus departs at Tung Chung at 18:10 hours. Please contact the hostel directly to receive a copy of the bus schedule
*After 18:00
Guest can only take taxi to the property as the NP360 and bus service stops at 18:00
At daytime before 18:00, guests can arrive at the hostel by bus No.23 or NP360 cable car from Tung Chung city centre. After 18:00, guests should

在現代社會中，「老師」這個職業已不如我們父執輩般充滿「威嚴」，過去只要專注在「傳道、授業、解惑」的老師，也隨著環境改變，在教學工作上不斷求新求變，來吸引學生注意。隨著教師節即將到來，台大電機系葉丙成教授與20位國內大專院校老師，也透過影片講出平常沒說出口的真心話，大談當老師的甘苦。
不少人對於「大學生」這個群體總是有著愛玩、很混的負面印象，但受訪的老師們談到對大學生的印象，認為他們「很有自己的想法」、「富有潛力」，對於學生的多元面向給予鼓勵。
而談到當老師最辛苦的一件事，葉丙成教授認為，揣摩不同世代學生的想法，並且去理解他們，是老師們最大的挑戰；也有老師認為最辛苦的是吸引學生的注意，中臺科大的陳韋陸老師就苦笑地表示，過去老師只要「傳道、授業、解惑」，但現在老師們還得學會「招魂」，在講課外還得想辦法吸引學生的注意力，也因此，新的教學方法和教具像是雲端即時互動軟體等，就成了老師們的最佳幫手，老師們透過這些新教具和學生趣味互動，以擺脫「台下很多人，但在台上的自己很孤單」的窘境。
雖然挑戰和挫折都不少，但談到「是否後悔當老師」時，幾乎所有老師都果決地表示「不會！」輔仁大學李孟玲老師提到，當那些認真的同學給予暖心的回饋時，就會覺得「什麼辛苦都忘記了」，也有老師表示「當老師是從小的志願」、「做研究的路上就是要和學生一起打拚，教導學生與我們一起成長」。
最後，老師們也對其他同仁們溫馨喊話，希望能藉這支影片給其他老師們一些鼓勵，葉丙成教授更表示，世界上有這麼多工作，但能深刻影響別人生命的，「我覺得就是當老師」，而能站在這崗位上也是難能可貴的機會，大家要共同努力。
美國總統川普禁止跨性別者從軍，因而遭到5名美軍控告。川普回嗆表示，禁止跨性別者從軍是幫了美軍「大忙」。
川普上月25日在推特宣布，禁止跨性別者以任何身份從軍，理由是他(她)們可能會「導致可觀的醫療費用且造成紛亂」。川普10日在紐澤西州高爾夫球鄉村俱樂部表示，跨性別者從軍的議題對軍方而言，既「複雜」又「費解」。
川普表示，跨性別者議題對美軍來說，是「非常困難的情況」，他辯稱禁止跨性別者從軍反而是幫了美軍「大忙」。
針對禁令引發爭議，川普緩頰說，「我相當尊重跨性別者群體。我想這個群體給了我很大的支持，或者是說我曾經有過他們的支持。」
川普日前宣布將恢復跨性別者不得從軍的禁令，5名在美軍服役的跨性別者9日遞狀怒告川普和五角大廈。這5人分別來自海軍、空軍與海岸防衛隊，由男性變為女性。
美國130萬現役軍人中，跨性別者約佔在1320人到1萬5000人之間。長期以來，美國國防部對於同性戀、跨性別等相關性別議題採取保守應對態度。針對川普的禁令，美國國防部表示，至今仍未收到總統下達明確指令，因此原來的政策仍繼續實施。
